Wakemup Productions,
Northern Spark 2018 Opening Performance – Smart Wars: Mni Wiconi Alliance — Friday only!

Funktavism (fun activism) is the Smart Wars strategy designed to include all people in the reawakening of indigenous ancestry on planet earth. Through our shared indigenous reality we create a future for true life to thrive with sparkling pure water, abundant earth for all species, and a happily generous disposition among people.

Anishinabe, Rory Erler Wakemup was raised in South Minneapolis and Cansa Yapi (Painted Red Wood in the Minnesota River Valley), earned his B.A. at the Institute of American Indian Art and his MFA at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Through public art he accomplishes his vision of a shared Indigenous reality for all people.

The contributing artists consist of a shifting, evolving crew of unruly renegades. They are multigenerational, multiracial and multigendered inspired to restore indigenous reality to humanity, earth, air and water.
